//California//

//California//

So wow. I kinda dropped everything and went to California.

My older sister lives there, she went into an early labor and we really wanted to be there for her. That same day that we got the call, we packed up the car and headed out for a 20+ hour drive! Buut I'd rather not talk about the horridly long car trip. I'd rather talk about my new (and first!) nephew!
His name is Samuel and he just barely weighs five pounds!! But he's the cutest little thing ever and I miss him already.
The first little while Sammy was in the NICU because he was born premature, and so my family stayed in a hotel within Palm Springs. Let me just say, I knew California was hot, I expected 90-100 degrees, but this was more like 100+ every single day. all day. Even at night! I don't know how you west coasters do it, but props to you, haha.
Anyway, I thought I'd do a little photo dump so here we go!

New Clif bar flavors mmm mm mmm.

Also, palm trees look so much different in person. That probably sounds silly, but they really do!

Oh and I got to go to this gigantic Barnes and Noble (books and their stores are life). It was beautiful and I wanted to spend all day inside. They were playing Ed Sheeran's album while I was there - how much better can it get?!?! Anyway, I bought this book- Every Soul a Star, by Wendy Mass. And while this book wasn't classified as 'young adult' I enjoyed it thoroughly. I finished it the very next day!

Cute diners with no kitchens

One more of adorable little Sam to end the post!

I have a new DIY coming very soon here and also have some exciting stuff planned! I can't wait for you guys to see it all.
Well I hope you enjoyed seeing a snippet of my little (read: huge) adventure, I'll be back soon!

Stay Minty,
-Juli
